PLG Sponsors Kyiv-Mohyla Academy University Moot Team
PLG International Lawyers is proud, especially during this difficult year, to join Eterna Law in sponsoring the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy University Moot team in the John H Jackson Moot Court Competition world finals, to be held in Geneva this week.
The John H. Jackson’s Moot Court Competition is one of the most prominent student litigation debates on international trade law. In the competition, our team will compete for the championship against the world’s leading law schools in the role of complainants and respondents within the simulated litigation process of the WTO Dispute Settlement Body.
After winning the European Regional Rounds in May and receiving a number of additional awards our team proceeded to the Final Round, which will be held at the WTO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Therefore, from June 28 to July 2, the team consisting of Oleksandra Zmazhenko, Roman Golovatyi, Dmytro Olefir, two coaches Ivan Yefimenko and Ivan Sova, and the counsel Leonila Guglya will compete with the other regional winners, which won Asian, African, American, and other regional rounds. Participation in this year’s competition is of particular importance for all teams, as this year the moot court community is celebrating the 20th anniversary of John H. Jackson’s Moot Court Competition.
Our team is training every day as they are Ukraine’s next generation of top lawyers. We are convinced that the team will not only gain invaluable experience in resolving legal disputes within the framework of the WTO system, but will also duly represent Ukraine at the John H. Jackson’s Moot Court Competition 2022.
We sincerely wish the team success.
