TroyGould PC in Los Angeles recently hosted Luis Alonso Aznar Roji,  Senior Associate from CAYAD, Mexico City, in our second YPLG Exchange of the year. Luis spent just under a month in Los Angeles in August.

Now back in Mexico City Luis has told us about his experience:

“I truly enjoyed the opportunity to immerse myself in Troy Gould’s work and to observe their practice firsthand. Watching matters unfold in court was both fascinating and inspiring, and even contributing through smaller tasks gave me a real sense of the American legal system. The experience was incredibly rewarding and exciting, giving me a genuine feel for how a top-tier firm operates and letting me see the practical side of law in action..

“The YPLG Exchange Programme offered an incredible opportunity to experience a completely different legal environment and to gain first-hand insight into how law is practiced abroad. It was also a fantastic way to build a strong professional network and connect with American colleagues from diverse backgrounds. On a personal level, it was hugely rewarding to immerse myself in American culture, participate in social and professional events, and grow both professionally and personally through these unique experiences.”

In Los Angeles Luis spent time with the Litigation and Corporate departments, among others. Darren Freedman, Chair of the Corporate Department, TroyGould PC, said :

Our PLG subsidised exchange programme is open to all of our young (under 35) lawyers – any member firm is free to welcome our young lawyers for between two and eight weeks.
